It feels as though World War 1 could come to an end any day now, and the Canadian unit, the Bears and Eagles, who call themselves simply, The Regiment, are chomping at the bit to get overseas and do their part.

Russia is in the midst of postrevolutionary chaos and decending into civil war. The Turks and Germans are still invading Palistine. And German legions have Europe in complete disarray.
