Emerald of Earth

Emerald Marcillon lives with her archaeologist parents at a dig site on the Yucatan Peninsula. She has trouble handling social situations and connecting with her peers, so she's an expert watcher.

Her parents believe they have found ancient artifacts that prove an alien war spilled over onto Earth ages ago. What they don't suspect is that Inamma, the alien AI that survived the war, is still hidden in the jungle, waiting. The discovery of the artifacts awakens Inamma. It's now seeking the artifacts, to complete the weapon it needs to end the ancient war once and farand in so doing, exterminate all humanity.

Emerald's only hope to to escape on the Solar Explorer, a hollowed-out asteroid turned spaceship that will spend the next twelve years exploring the solar system. Can Emerald protect the artifacts and stop Inamma from finishing its ultimate weapon? Can she make friends and find allies? Can she convince people that Inamma is real, and not just a crazy story made up by a frightened girl?
