A chance meeting at a SciFi-Fantasy convention leads Jared to the rescue and fitful romancing of Rana, descendant of the ancient Sea Elf pirates. Their city was destroyed as a consequence their siding with evil in a great war thousands of years ago. Before she and her sister can return and reclaim the land they feel is rightfully theirs, they need to escape a mad preacher trying to kill them. With the aid of Arribus, an elf and one of the "Old Ones," and Handir, the Black Elf of Brunea (a land that borders the Tarkona and Rana's city), and the queen of Brunea herself, they fight to stay alive while reclaiming and rebuilding this once famous sea faring city.
