Fauns' Keep is a family saga of intrigue, suspense and entertainment for the astute adult person interested in English history and literature; the story commences in 1922, continuing until the late twentieth-first century based upon Lord Edbury's Manor House, called Faun's Keep, set in central Cheshire.
All the characters in the plot are fictional, although there may be a similarity to reality adding a little interest to the story; the names used, probably relate to characters simply as a reference.
The period encompasses various periods in history which are vivid with memories, setting a scene which, perhaps, should not have occurred and most definitely must never be repeated but, not necessarily, will this be the case. The saying 'History is forever teaching and repeating itself,' warning of what should be avoided but, 'not necessarily is the public learning, and, also, there are too few people heeding the warning'.
The scenes and places visited in Fauns' Keep are extremely vivid and educational, tempting the reader to make their own visit and understand the reality of what they have read, they will not be disappointed.
The main character 'Sarah' is a resourceful person facing too many challenges which she does with a dedicated perseverance supported by her friend who is continually offering help, assistance and comfort.
The Plot is intricate, fitting together as the story is unfolding following much thought to the timing and date of the story. The history is authentic and it is a timely reminder of what people faced in by-gone days, suggesting that life will continue to be challenging generation on generation.
There is every likelihood that this story is not finished, suggesting that there may be a temptation creating a sequel finalising the lives of people who are almost, real? Whatever, if the entertainment is fulfilling, that is the main objective, tempting the reader towards other works in the BBS BOOKS portfolio either by this author or similar artisans, or word-smiths.
