The Final Alumni is the first book in the Evers and McFarlan Detective Series. Final Alumni is a private investigator mystery, thriller, and suspense novel for teens and young adults.

Tish, the female protagonist, with exceptional martial arts skills and Scotty with his physical prowess are pledged to solve multiple crimes.

Tish, haunted by childhood experiences, enables herself with many disciplines of martial arts, while Scotty falls back on his training and physical prowess as a football hero and expert marksman. Together they make an unstoppable coming of age amateur detective team.

Now living in Chicago, Illinois, and mentored by a well-respected couple who owns a private investigator agency, Tish and Scotty are enlisted to assist private investigators Aileen and Patrick Jamieson in solving murders, kidnappings and theft cases in Chicago while also pursuing a series of unsolved serial killings in their own hometown as well.

Tossing standard police procedures aside Tish and Scotty are also being mentored by Chicago's renowned Police Captain, Barry Jones, in solving multiple crimes. Captain Jones, a martial arts Grandmaster, enlists Tish's help in training police cadets in Combat Hapkido at the police academy. Captain Jones also brings Scotty onto the Chicago Police Shooting Competition team with surprising results.
