I've always been good under pressure, looking at life as a game of chess, where every move is more important than the last. The only way to succeed in this world is to stay five steps ahead of any eventuality, no matter how challenging it is.
I guess that's why I thought this was a good idea. Taking on the role of an undercover officer in one of the most notorious motorcycle clubs Los Angeles has ever seen The Final Dawn. I had my whole life ahead of me: a beautiful fiancé, a promising career in the L.A.P.D, and a drive that would make even the strongest men crumble.
But I was young back then, naïve to the world and how it worked. The Final Dawn, well, they ate me whole and spat out a husk of a man. Staying five steps ahead of a man like Jake Kent, the leader of this notorious gang, that just wasn't doable. Even trying to stay on the same level felt impossible.
And I should've never gone toe-to-toe with that devil. But hindsight, that's a terrible thing, and lingering on the past won't ever do. But how can you look to the future when your whole world is black?
