Finders Keepers is a crime fiction. It tells the story of a brilliant author John Rothstein, who penned a series of novels featuring Jimmy Gold, an American hero of sorts. John encounters one of his psycho fans Morris who has beef with the way Rothstein depicted Jimmy Gold in one of his books. Morris kills Rothstein, steals money and two unpublished Jimmy Gold novels from Rothstein's safe, and then hides them in a trunk in his cabin. Morris is arrested for rape soon after and sentenced to life. His stash ends up in the hands of Pete Saubers who discovers the trunk years later. He uses the money to sustain his family, till it runs out, and he is forced to sell the Jimmy Gold manuscripts. Trouble starts when Morris is released on bail and finds his stash missing! 
Finders Keepers was published on the 2nd of June, 2015 and quickly became a number one best seller. Bursting with suspense, it is the 2nd part of a trilogy about detective Bill Hodges. The book is the sequel to Mr. Mercedes, another thrilling best seller from Stephen king.
