We recommend reading "A Readable Reader" before purchasing this volume. "A Readable Reader" includes several of the more readable (ie: less philosophical) selections from "First Loves". If you love the Pure Love stories in "A Readable Reader" and think you might be up for some more philosophical asides, "First Loves" will be here waiting for you.
Stories of manufacturing, marketing, selling, and buying Pure Love - the eternal good upon within which all true human loves are grounded . And a couple tales of Bartleby Willard and the Skullvalley After Whistletown Booksellers gang. And several essays and too many asides about Something Deeperism - the general worldview that people can relate to the True Good, but not in a literal / definitive / 1:1 / exclusive sense.
It turned out Okayish for a first book.

Ebook breakdown:
About 50% book proper / 50% bonus essays on Something Deeperism, footnotes and outtakes (also usually about Something Deeperism).
So: About 50% stories and essays about the Pure Love business with a little Something Deeperism mixed in; and 50% one little point that I just need to make (again!) real real quick about Something Deeperism.
This Book Description was authored by Bartleby Willard from his far-flung drifting outpost on any one of the Seven Seas encircling, embracing, and caressing our various muddy banks.
