How far would you go to save your first love's soul?

One final incarnation. That's what the prophecy says. The tree of souls will die, and humanity, along with it. As Chayah, Eternal Mother, it's been my soul's responsibility to give up everything I love to make sure that didn't happen.

Every death, every rebirth, every eternal sacrifice that I've made, has been done without doubt for the love of my familyfor humanity, essentially all my children. My family.
I'd risk eternally forgetting Cade and the love we shared. I'd risk knowing my Eternal children every memory of who I am and who I've always been. All for humanity.

That choice was always simpleonce. I knew my love for my children and for the world would never cease to exist, so the risk of losing everything seemed minimal.

Until one prophecy changed everything.

This prophecy reads that the only way to renew the Tree of Souls again will be sacrificing my first true love. And even though my Genesis family has promised that we'll make sure that doesn't happen, the human race has become so dark and broken, that I'm not sure they can be saved.

Or even if I want to try to save them.

Darkness is growing in the human realm, so much, that I've started feeling it somewhere inside of me. If even I'm not immune to the darkness beginning to fill the human world, for the first time since beginning this journey of love, I can't help but wonder

Is humanity even worth saving?

Now? After seeing the destruction they've left in their wake?

Honestly, I don't know.

Some sacrifices are just impossible to make. Even for me.
