You know what happens if you eat lots of sprouts: they give you the most foul-smelling wind, and if you don't let it out, you'll explode! So when flute playing Florence Foulger discovers she actually loves sprouts, her whole world changes. She has to teach herself to control her 'trumping' and then learns that she can play flute/trumping 'duets' by herself: she's so good that her brother enters her in a TV talent show. Find out if Florence can overcome the problem of the gross smell she produces, whether her 'gas' is poisonous or flammable, and what happens when the whole country seems to run out of sprouts! Loads of jokes about bottoms and wind and smells!
WHAT CHILDREN HAVE SAID ABOUT IT:
"If I was asked to mark it 1 to 10, I would have to give it 100!''
"It's a great book, I really like the jokes in it..... I think this is a good book that 6 to 12 year olds will really like."
"This book is very funny. My favourite part is when Florence plays "duo" with her bottom and musical instrument. I would recommend this book to people who hate sprouts but love funny stories.''
"It's funny but also a bit weird with all the trumping and all.... it'll be a great book for all ages, you could make it into a great movie.''
"I loved this book, as it as so interesting, funny and trumptacular! It was very absorbing and I didn't want to put it down.... I would recommend this book for most people but mainly 8-13 year olds. It would be great for both girls and boys."
