During the Apartheid Era in Cape Town, South Africa, there was also discrimination amongst families of colour. A 'mix race' identity meant one parent was white, the other coloured or black. Based on a true outline, this drama reflects the life of an educated coloured woman who came from a sophisticated and classy upbringing but due to her darker skin colour, was ill-treated by the 'mix race' family of the man she loved and adored . With him working away at sea Louise finds herself in unbearable situations while living with his family on their farm. Having no siblings or parents to turn to, she has no choice but to endure the situation...
