In Hebrews 5:11-12, the apostle Paul wanted to give a deeper understanding to the Hebrew believers comparing the superior priesthood of Jesus Christ to that of the Old Testament priest Melchizedek. Paul said he had "much to say about this, but he hesitated because they were babes still on "milk," not of "full age," and not ready for "solid food" (spiritually mature). We will never know if there was some additional information or profound revelation Paul was unable to share with his audienceand subsequently us as readers of the Wordbecause they weren't mature enough to receive it.

In For Mature Audiences Only, Stephen Hamilton issues a challenge to the body of Christ: are we ready to walk in spiritual authority and be a body of believers as Jesus said, "the gates of hell won't prevail against it"? Are we prepared to accept the "keys to the kingdom of heaven" so God can use us to accomplish His will on earth as it is in heaven? Are we ready to launch out into the deep to become fishers of men, sharing our faith and the love of Jesus with the world? If we follow the principles in this book, we will be ready to handle "strong meat" and able to operate on the level God has ordained for us.
