Do you remember the song, The Last Farewell? Have you ever wondered what took place while on the island? In 'For You are Beautiful' the English ship is wrecked through a heavy squall, causing it to land on the Sandwich Islands. The Captain is given permission by King Kamehameha to stay on the island while the ship is made seaworthy. Meanwhile Officer Hancock falls deeply in love with Kamea, the daughter of Kalei, a powerful holy priest who speaks to spirits. Her love for him bothers Kalei, and when asked if they could marry, he quickly plots a contest that Hancock must win or otherwise he will be put to death.
