For the Sake of Freedom

The incurable nature of Orbis City, the last civilization on Earth, drove the people to near extinction. Dr. Hartford, leader of the mysterious Sigmund Project, hopes to cure Orbis of its fruitless vanity. He is willing to do anything to preserve the human race, even at the cost of people's freedom and unspeakable harm to children, unless a radical named Oliver changes Dr. Hartford's mind by showing him a way that doesn't require evil but instead leads to a new world, a promised land and savior, entirely beyond Orbis City's foreboding walls. This dystopian thriller speaks to the flawed nature of twenty-first century humanity as we strive for perfection and in doing so create a life that is far from perfect, a life that for many is worse than the current situation we're attempting to cure.
