Are you preparing for another school year? First, assess the learning culture in your home and don't fret about school supplies, clothes, footwear, or the latest electronic devices. Set the learning table at home by making sure you have a positive attitude, a family mission statement, a plan, high expectations, a civil tone, and a house filled with good books and other interesting reading materials. Second, post that mission statement in a conspicuous place and refer to it often. Third, devise a plan that correlates with the mission statement. And fourth, monitor your child's progress and maintain regular contact with your child's teachers.
