Frank struggles, with hypochondria, with true love, with safety, and with his family, but Frank also persists--and meets Sara. Through a series of mishaps, backslides, divinely ironic coincidences, and more struggles (Frank and Sara's moms tend to "overhear a lot"), life goes on. Frank blossoms from weed to flower, and not nearly so delicate a bud as he and others first believe him to be.
All it takes is determination, meddling in-laws, honeymoon flights diverted to Moscow, conscientious park rangers, and a few trips down the bathroom rapids for Walter the Frog. And then they all live happily--if somewhat messily--ever after, except for poor Bob the private detective, but that's another story.
