Meeting the woman of your dreams when you're seventeen probably isn't that unusual. But when you're technically jailbait, dating becomes problematic. I swore to Kylie that I would save myself for her, wait for her to come back to me someday. I just didn't know she'd let almost a decade go by with no contact.
Now she's back, and if she thinks I'm going to let her off the hook for our first date, or our forever, she's got another thing coming.

I met Jace when he was my student his senior year of high school. I'd thought he was just a flirty teen, a couple weeks away from technical adulthood who was yanking my chain. But as I moved on with my life on the other side of the country, I realized that I'd never moved on from thoughts of what might have been with him.
Now that I'm back in town, I don't know what to expect. So much time has passed, I can't imagine that he kept his promise of waiting for me. Even though I kept the same vow that I'd forgotten to make out loud to him.
