Constance is in shock as the newest loss rocks her life. After learning of Ranaan's betrayal of their marriage and losing their home to a fire, Constance stays with her sister's family where she searches desperately for answers in the faith she's only just begun to return to. But for hurt so deep, the resolution seems unclear.
Ranaan cannot express the depth of his regret. He tries to make amends, but he knows he doesn't deserve forgiveness and that the rift he has caused might never be repaired.
Constance and Ranaan must decide which path to take, one of separation or reconciliation, and whichever they choose, it will only be possible to follow if they trust God with their uncertain futures.
"Futures without Lyrics" is the twelfth short story in Moments Late and the sequel to "A Future of Lost Lullabies."
