A vivid portrait of one day in a woman's life through her morning pages, searching for love, searching for self. The city of London in the background.

Gabrielle is a woman among men jockeying for power. She has created a world for herself where she rules alone. Yet, even though she has fought hard for independence, she is searching for love and longs to be taken care of by a strong man.

And searching she did:The Working Class Millionaire, The Stud, The QC and The Champagne Socialist.

But the men and relationships in her life were made up, realisations subjectively made by the drama of self-created identities. The old self always reflects back in the mirror, still unchanged, whilst the body and life have taken yet another form.

As Gabrielle writes in her morning pages, she is flooded with vivid memories of the past and intense responses to the present. She re-examines her choices throughout her life.

And while she stands inside the lived moment, the "continuous present" of her life keeps intruding into her thoughts on this day in London.

Can someone escape their self-identity? Does true love even exist?
