Currently, our schools are technologically behind in a way that other industries could never withstand. I see attempts to integrate into the cyber-world, with mobile usage for quizzes, SmartBoards and iPads and Kindles, and many web-based activities. Occasionally, I even see some in-classroom online discussions using social media. But on the whole, educators tend to ignore the new and growing world of the Internet in replace of 'old-fashioned' teaching. This book has been created to help encourage educators to embrace social media into their classrooms and to feel more confident in doing so.
