A girl and her dead best friend must team up with a beautiful pirate captain to save the world... before mysterious ghosts wipe out all life on earth.

Maaya Sahni is an orphan in an isolated town that fears and distrusts her because she can see ghosts. She survives by keeping her head down and doing her best to not be noticed. Soon, however, she is forced out of hiding when a street full of people disappear without a trace, and the culprits are found to be a wave of faceless specters that terrify even the dead.

Unable to ignore the threat these spirits represent, Maaya soon finds herself immersed in a century-long mysteryone that could spell the end of every living being on the planet.

Aided by a ghostly friend with no memory of her past, a strange man from across the wide sea, and a beautiful pirate captain with secrets of her own, Maaya will attempt to put an end to the frightening spirits attacking her world before they can destroy everyone and everything she's ever cared about.
