When I used to go to the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival there was a small club off the beaten track, and this club used to draw my attention as it was like the old speak-easies of the *'Roaring' 20s'*where jazz started in Chicago.
The story may be fiction but the setting and the feel of the club are as real as any musician who played jazz.
