Lydia Sinclair's life has run off the rails. She has lost everyone she loves and the holidays have lost their meaning. As Christmas approaches, Lydia wants to go to sleep and never wake up again.
Perhaps an angel, some ghosts, and a childhood sweetheart can convince her that life is worth living again.
Can Lydia let go of what once was, renew her joy in life, and find the promise of hope for her future?
Chapter One
The Christmas music from next door began to get on her nerves. She attempted once more to focus on her memories. As she sat on the edge of her mother's bed and ran her hand along the edge of the handmade quilt her mother had loved so much, it didn't seem possible to Lydia Sinclair that her mother had died, and so quickly.
Just last year she rushed home to be with her mother when she had a heart attack. They spent Thanksgiving together and then, her mother died the next day. Last Christmas had been the worst she had ever known and this year promised not to be much better. When she asked for an extended leave from her job, they gave it to herin the form of a pink slip and a small severance check.
