Gia's mother has cancer and her insurance can't cover her treatment. She works as a waitress in a good bar and goes to college in the day on student loans, but she will have to stop the latter so she could work during the day, too. Her mother needs all the help she can get.
Enter Bain Dunham, a rich guy who likes her enough to propose a business deal be his girlfriend for hire. The physical attraction, he explains, will be enough to convince his mother he didn't need to go through a wedding he got himself into, which was a secret business deal, anyway by mistake. His offer can help solve her financial problems considerably, and she feels safe with him that she accepted the job post.
But this attraction he talked about puts her in a quandary. She didn't want to be emotionally attached. Can she avoid that when he is quickly becoming he is the boyfriend she doesn't even know she dreams about?
