Do you have problems? Does your life seem like it is a constant stream of turmoil and difficulties? Do those factors make you feel despondent and depressed? Do you wonder what God's purpose is for your life amidst all of your struggles? Then this is the book for you! Using the lives and troubles of the personalities of the Bible, this book looks at how to deal with life's problems, and what we can learn from the strong examples
of the inhabitants of the Scriptures.

The problems and stress of life can make us feel like we are literally dead spiritually. And, no human being is removed from troubles and turmoil. The lives of the characters of the Bible had a great deal to say about how to deal with problems. Amidst troubles and strife we need to stay close to God and to seek comfort and solutions from Him. And, problems come from many sources- some are self-inflicted wounds, and some are thrust upon us by other people. And, some challenges can come straight from God. Troubles and conflict can teach us lessons and strengthen us as individuals. Adam and Eve were literally living in Paradise, and ruined their idyllic lives in a moment of weakness. Abraham and his desire for an heir led to an intolerable situation with two sex partners and competing sons. Joseph was hated by his brothers, sold into slavery by
them, and then unjustly landed in an Egyptian prison. Esther was a slave and became a concubine to a king. Ruth was a starving widow. David was chosen by God to be king of Israel, but was threatened by the existing king, challenged by strong enemies, and almost ruined by his self-inflicted wounds. Samson was a renowned strong man and warrior, but he had a weakness for the fairer sex. Job had too many
problems to mention here. Jonah was called by God as a prophet, but didn't want to participate.
Daniel was a captive in a strange land, and was asked to spurn God and to worship earthly kings.
The mother of Jesus became pregnant when she wasn't married, and faced disgrace and scandal. The
Apostle Paul was a respected and honored Jew, until he met Jesus and was then persecuted for his newly found faith. And, Jesus left His idyllic existence to come to Earth and to save humanity, only to be mocked, criticized and scorned. The Bible provides fantastic examples of how to deal with the problems of life by analyzing the lives of its leading characters.
