Wasim Akram will always be remembered for his fast swinging balls, especially for the reverse swinging balls. He is undoubtedly one of the best fast bowlers in the history of cricket.
In List A cricket Wasim Akram has the world record of taking 881 wickets.
He is second only to Sri Lankan off spinner, Muttiah Muralitharan in terms of One Day International wickets with 502 wickets in his bag.
His contribution to the art of swing bowling is commendable. He is said to be one of the founders of the art of reverse swing bowling. His reverse swinging balls often baffled the batsmen and they got out. Wasim is said to be the finest exponent of reverse swing bowling.
