Emil Jones, bitten by a vampire with a connection to Altair's past, is quite the opposite of peace and quiet.

The magical community of Griffinwood Close exists in a mysterious sliver between universes and is home to a motley mix of outcasts from various eras and worlds. Despite their differences, the residents of Griffinwood are linked by trauma and estrangement, as well as an overwhelming need for acceptance and love, making Griffinwood Close an idyllic haven for those in need.

However, as a youngling vampire, Emil poses a threat to the safety they have so relentlessly built, and Altair, as the only other vampire resident, finds himself saddled with a roommate he did not ask for.

Despite his misgivings, Altair soon finds himself enjoying the company of his new companion. Yet, their shared past forever looms over them, threatening to shatter the quaint serenity of the Close.

What begins as a tale of trauma, second chances, and found family ultimately blooms into a tender-hearted queer love story set amidst the charming everyday life of Griffinwood Close.
