HATCHET JOB

n mid-January, 2019 the Internal Revenue Service of the United States finally settled with a string of organizations who were unfairly targeted when filing the application for tax-exempt status starting in about 2009. The great majority of which were in the Conservative camp. The IRS ran over every protection to which applicants were entitled on top of grossly protracted processing times.

Many are familiar with the ordeal, along with the names of Lois Lerner and IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. In terms of the time spent in the hot seat, Lois Lerner spent considerable time in the spotlight. Ms. Lerner is no foot soldier, and has links to the Clinton Initiative and obviously carried out the directive that came from the Obama White House.

Ms. Lerner did facilitate the instructions she was given, she did not however, hatch the idea for knee capping operation against those that did not share the political ideology of either the Senators nor the President.

The two Senators who went to the White House to seek the support of President Obama have not been thrust into the limelight; at least for this offense. One of the duo is now retired, the other with his fingers in every pie, yet he managed to find time to claim the mantel of Senate Yenta, a Yiddish word for matchmaker.

All this is a compact Snippet-Book of four thousand words. This literary offering may be a quick read, but not lacking for any shortage of revelations. In light that similar shenanigans are likely to emerge as the 2019 Presidential primary season gets underway, it may be prudent to get buffed up on this incident it had far reaching implications.
