Prospects should only be asked to agree, sign on the dotted line, and shake hands. But not everyone understands that convincing a prospect to make a purchase from you is an art form in and of itself. When asked, "Are you ready to commit?," most salespeople struggle to get prospects to say yes. For instance, they view it as forceful and annoying if it is excessively hurried. On the other side, if you're talking too slowly, which is worse, let them lead the conversation; they won't agree to anything.
