Hail to the Chief follows the meteoric rise of a young Chief named Jake Prince. His rise to prominence involved battles with the courts and the political system to establish the rights of his people. With the help of his new-found love, Maria, they build an empire from the beginnings of a small business that Jake inherited after the mysterious deaths of his two stepsisters. Stepsisters who were involved in the death of his mother.

As he rises to the level of Chief, he becomes obsessed with seeking power and wealth that will benefit both the tribe and the remaining members of his family. With his newly wedded wife, Maria, at his side and the backing of the Council of Elders he enters the world of politics where deals are made, and enemies are many. As his political star rises, he begins to find comfort in the arms of another woman named Nikki. A woman who was hired as his press secretary during his campaigns and tenure as Senator. His lust for Nikki drives his marriage to the edge of no return. Although Jake and Maria's marriage becomes one of convenience, the couple remain bonded together by a history of deeds. Deeds that left them both with blood on their hands. It is this history which finally catches up with them that determines their fate.
