In the unforgiving city of Feralon, the vulnerable human Finley ekes out a living by mastering various skills. One evening, he stumbles upon a gravely injured Wolfkin, one of the powerful Beastkin, and decides to help. He nurses the Wolfkin back to health, wanting to do a good deed. As he takes care of the unexpected guest, he can't ignore the stark physical differences but also the unexpected similarities between them. An alluring scent in the air draws him in, causing some unusual reactions in Finley. Despite his initial reservations and the uncertainty of the Wolfkin's reaction when he wakes, the human can't help but hope that his decision to help will turn out okay.
