Interrupting a break-in and finding a body wasn't how Jaime MacNamara planned to begin his day at the business office of The Happy Housekeepers.

The scene heats up when Detective Superintendent Pauley McBride arrives, virtually accusing him of murder. As beautiful as she is bold, the hard-bitten detective stirs an interest in Jamie that has been absent since the death of his wife three years ago. Divorced, disillusioned, and burned out on men, DS Pauley McBride isn't holding out much hope for the kind of relationship she wants.
