"Hostage" tells the story of one such person. She is Mary Hollis, age 24, a beautiful sensuous blonde. From one look at her beautiful face and body, it would seem that Mary could have anything she wanted. But she couldn't have happiness. She couldn't have sexual satisfaction.
The story portrays the effects of a repressive upbringing on a beautiful girl and their unhappy consequences later.

This transformation is graphically described in the riveting scene in a bank vault where Mary Hollis is a hostage at the mercy of the sexual whims of two bank robbers.
