Every place has a memory.
And the memories that fill the Cantwell mansion are far from inviting...
After escaping near death in a car accident, Sarah is left to try to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. She embarks on a whirlwind affair with handsome widower Max Cantwell. The two are brought together by mutual loss and soon she becomes the next Mrs. Cantwell. Once the wedding ceremony is over Max has a surprise in store for his new bride when he brings her to see their home for the first time, the Cantwell mansion.

Situated outside the city of Spokane Washington in an isolated wooded area, the sprawling estate is surrounded by mountains and forest. An ornate garden pond and natural marsh run through the manicured grounds, interspersed with cottonwood, willows and pine trees.

Soon after moving in, Sarah uncovers some disturbing things about her new home, and the woman who lived there before her. After a string of unexplained happenings, she is confronted by the possibility that the Cantwell mansion's first mistress has never left.

Sarah is unsettled by the house and has a strange feeling when she's in her new home that she isn't alone. And as time goes by that feeling only worsens, until she's sure she's being stalked by a sinister presence.
