Arnold James was the teenage idol of Lauren and she filled her room with his posters, hoping to meet him one day. She bumps into Arnold ten years later but he turns out to be a proud egoist who is nothing like the person Lauren imagined him to be. After this point, she no longer wants anything to do with him.
Nevertheless, in her current workplace, for her initiation ordeal, Lauren is supposed to ask out the next man that walks through the door. The criteria are simple: should he be married, another person will do; if dating then only a coffee date will suffice while single men would require five dates. It is essential that these guys also accept.
To shock and disappointment, the next person that comes in is none other than Arnold James who surprisingly agrees on going out with her. As such, Lauren finds herself entangled in a twisted game with the last person she ever wished to meet again.
