Another wild adventure is the last thing that Neil wants. In their first quest, he and his sister Sandi barely survived a great white shark and a flood in the Grand Canyon. Studying science in front of his computer is much safer. Why did Hye and Jynx, two small wizards from another dimension, have to pop into his room? Even their magic barely saved them. He's not going on another quest. No way. Neil finds out that Magic-Time has its own rules - all who start together, must finish together. If Hye and Jynx are to return to their dimension and save Natura, the quests must continue. The ten most popular natural wonders of the world can be dangerous. Neil has to go or be responsible for what happens to the wizards and their world. Reluctantly, he agrees to go. He tells Sandi she needs a raincoat and boots. Neil thinks he is prepared for the quest to the Amazon Rainforest. Get in, find the seedpod from a Kapok tree and get out. Fifteen minutes in Earth time, tops. How hard can it be? Harder than Neil thinks. Miscalculating, the adventurers land in the dark on top of the rainforest canopy. A storm blows the tiny wizards away. Neil is horrified to think that they are on their own - without magic, or a flashlight or a weapon of defense against the wild animals that live in the trees. Surviving the night, Neil and Sandi climb to the forest floor. Hye flies through the trees, finding them with his magic hat. The children are shocked to learn that the magic wand is gone and so is Jynx. He has changed into a monkey. They have to find the wand. It is the only thing that can transform Jynx and take them safely home. The adventurers search for the wand with Neil ever watchful of the dangers. Can they survive the jaguar, the anaconda and the Harpy Eagle? Neil wonders if he is smart enough to figure out how to extract the wand from a deep pool of water. Will working together save them from the caiman hiding under a ledge, so they can escape the rainforest?
