INFJ and Empath's Advice For Life

I am an INFJ empath. I have survived narc terror and lived into my mid 50s. These are my collected answers to questions asked by younger Empaths and INFJs.

This book is for INFJs and Empaths. It is not for other MBTIs or people who are not empathic.

I am not a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. Although I did study Psychiatry with Dr Allyn in Paris, and received a degree from a Big 10 USA university in psychology.

This is a cautionary tale that has been my life. These are simply my words of advice.

**Are a lot of INFJ'salso HSP(Highly Sensitive People)?**  
INFJs are normal. The rest of society is highly insensitive  
  
**Do others seem to surround themselves with  
spiritually/emotionally damaging people?**  
Yes.I was raised by a pack of narcissist hyenas. Out of the box they started pathologizing everything about me. I was the scapegoat and emotional toilet. So,damaged people were drawn to me like there was a giant "Empath" lighthouse on top of my head.  
  
Took me years and years to spot the patterns. My boundaries are real high now, and I vet people like crazy and offer most of my love and support to myself first. This drives narcissists and manipulators out of their minds. They see the Empath lighthouse, start coming in for the kill and get burned.

Time is the great equalizer  


**How does being an empath work? Do you have to try to focus on people's energies to tell what they're feeling or does it just happen?**  
  
I was raised by narcissists.I had to be attentive to all their BS to protect myself and survive. Thus I am an empath. I think it is a learned skill. But most empaths learn it in the depths of hell. In the bottom of a torture chamber. Maybe not as nice as you would like. Let me tell you. It's a brutal existence if you  
don't know who you are and what happened to you. For a lot of people, that is exactly how it works.  
  
**Are INFJ'S misunderstood because we are terrible articulators?**  
No. Many INFJs are eloquent. As the late Derrick Bell said "People just do not want to hear the truth about anything"
