Jean Jacques Rousseau was a great philosopher and one of the founders of the modern system of philosophy. The book strongly influenced the formulation of many conceptual elements in Rousseau's Social Contract.

The City of the Sun is a philosophical work by Tommaso Campanella. He published the book in 1602. It was an important early utopian work that had influenced Rousseau's writing of Social Contract.  

Rousseau's work has produced great influence on modern philosophy and logic. His view became widely recognised as the foremost philosophical voice and his influence has been felt in nearly every field of the humanities and social sciences.
