Although the scope of the series seems small at first, it actually has swollen into a very large and encompassing project, including not only the twenty-three homegrown Thunderbird artists, but many other major players in the Canadian Music Scene that are in the end, connected to That Brant County Sound. The sound is of grass roots old time country music made in the late sixties and all the way up to the present day. The Thunderbird artists include Dusty Road, Roger Quick and the Rainbows, Jo & Ryk Brennan, The Fearless Five (aka The Bridgeman Family) and Whisky Hollow. The better known artists still within the circle of research include Myrna Lorrie, The Mercey Brothers, Marie Bottrell, Terry Carisse, Harry Hibbs, Rockin' Bobby Harris, Terry Sumsion & Stagecoach, Gordie Tapp, Johnny Burke & Eastwind, Ruth Ann Wallace Onley, Thomas Wade & Wayward, The Walters Family Band and Michelle Wright. This book consists of over 300 photos Thom Ryerson collected while researching the first volume of this series. This is the favorite of the three Brant County Sound! books.
