Two intertwined families who live across the borders of Ghana and Nigeria, the Annans and the Olayiwolas, prepare for the wedding of Emmanuel Annan and Naa as the second decade of the twenty-first century ends.Things begin to go south when Naa gets pregnant for another man and the wedding gets cancelled and another shocking event hits the families. The story unfolds through the private experiences of five characters in the two families who have lost someone, something or both and are processing the loss in different ways. Their lives end up in a pressure cooker when the covid-19 pandemic hits and worsens their lives. With nowhere to turn to, they end up face to face to the secrets they have been running away from.
