Insects Are Our Friends

: Dennis Herrell writes both serious and humorous poems about his life in this civilized society. He finds his poems by keeping his eyes and ears open and his mouth shut. Mostly. He really likes to write short funny poems and haiku that have a little sharp bite to themand this time, he really had fun writing about those small, little pesky (sometimes beautiful) creatures that make people so individual and vulnerable. Dennis loves his 1920's bungalow in the old historical Heights district of Houston. Mosquitos also love his home, and they love Dennis. But there are also plenty of butterflies, dragonflies, moths, crickets, grasshoppers, bees, ladybugs, and lots of all the other usual suspects.
