Inside Out 2 is an upcoming American animated coming-of-age film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. This sequel to Inside Out (2015) marks Kelsey Mann's feature directorial debut and is produced by Mark Nielsen, with a screenplay by Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein.
The film features returning stars Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan, with new cast members Tony Hale (replacing Bill Hader), Liza Lapira (replacing Mindy Kaling), Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Paul Walter Hauser, and Kensington Tallman (replacing Kaitlyn Dias).Inside Out 2 was first announced in September 2022 at the D23 Expo, with Mann, Nielsen, and LeFauve attached as director, producer, and writer, respectively. Poehler was also confirmed to return alongside Smith, Black, Lane, and MacLachlan.
