Well this was awkward and embarrassing, although considering her twin boys were involved, the only person getting the whole awkward and embarrassed vibe was veterinarian Peyton Reynolds and the guy standing in front of her on Motutawa Island's largest supermarket, Elliott Kingsley. With one of her, kids stuck under a supermarket shelf, through no fault of the shelf, Peyton grudgingly accepts his offer of help with the emphasis on grudgingly because the Kingsley episode in her life had been neatly filed away under "D" for Disaster! Obviously, her boys were everything to her, she loved being a mother, loved being the mother her own mother wasn't. Did Elliott know these kids were his or were his brother and his former wife still pedalling more of their lies and deceit? Elliott still looked good, too good Peyton decided and all the fantasies she'd had about him were threatening to burst out of the file marked "N" for Never while her long slumbering hormones were doing a happy dance.

With her own veterinary practice, the only one on the island, and the steadfast support of her friends Peyton has clawed her way back, regained her self confidence and her sense of humour. Face it, with Ryder and Hudson, a sense of humour was a pre-requisite. Her worry now was whether Elliott knew he was the father of these boys or had he too been manipulated by his brother, Lucien and the dreadful Krysta? Personally she couldn't see it, Elliott hadn't been in her corner when the duplicity of those two had been revealed and his shocked expression suggested he knew nothing of the twins.

Elliott's heart had stuttered against his ribs when he saw Peyton in the supermarket, he saw the twins as well. They were his, weren't they? He didn't know why he'd moved his life to Motutawa, he knew Peyton lived here but why did he wait ten years to do this? Judging by the look of horror on Peyton's beautiful face, she still hated him, although he suspected she hated the name Kingsley in general and she'd probably hate him a whole lot more once she learned he was the developer wanting to build a marina in an environmentally sensitive area of the island. After rescuing the kid, his kid, he wants to know if those boys are his but Peyton isn't playing fair and he gets banned from the store.

Can these two get their second chance? With two rambunctious boys, a dog called Eric and a good measure of Motutawa magic, anything is possible, especially when Peyton and Elliott realise their fantasies are surprisingly similar.
