Vesperos had been fully content shepherding his sheep daily in his quiet village. Never in his wildest dreams would he have had any inkling of travelling foreign lands having been sold into slavery, and even less, making powerful enemies along the way. Had he given more consideration to the oracle given him years earlier rather than continue to push it carelessly to the back of his mind, he might have been better prepared for his ominous fate.
