Remmer sniffed. "Hardly. As my wife implied, Isle nobility is made of stern stuff."

The king snorted. "We'll see." He turned to his slaves. "Leave us!" he commanded. The three girls scrambled to leave, but Lysandre caught Teo by the wrist. The slave seemed frightened.

"I'll need her help," she explained to Dakron.

"For what?"

"To undress me."
