Anita, an orphan, is accused of being a witch by her grand- mother and subsequently abandoned.to her own devices. She takes to the streets of Calabar where she finds refuge and companionship with a company of street urchins who reside in a secret enclave.
Bound together by their common plight, they accept their new reality and forge a life for themselves on the streets of Calabar.
However, a life of boundless freedom without restraints is not without its consequences as they soon fall into the pitfalls of prostitution, theft, drug dealing and robbery.
