A sci-fi novel Last and First Men anticipates the fascinating far future of humanity. Written in 1930 by Olaf Stapledon, the book is an early example of collective consciousness. It narrates the story of human evolution divided into eighteen distinct species. The improvement between them is achieved through genetic engineering.
