Life and Afterlife - The Physics of Spirit

There is abundant evidence - from multitudes of people who have near death experiences in a heavenly realm of loving light - that a spiritual afterlife is "real."

But how is it possible?

What is a "spirit," a spiritual being?

Spirit is consciousness. Spiritual reality is conscious reality. There are different planes or realms of existence that you can be conscious of being "in."

Right now you are conscious of being in this Earth plane of embodied existence. When your body dies the spirit who is "you" goes into a realm of conscious existence with no more physical bodies - though evidence strongly suggests we retain our electromagnetic aura body that "looks like" our physical body.

As a conscious being you are a spiritual being. Consciousness - and the information it directly experiences - is made of electromagnetic wave energy, which is light.

As a conscious being you are an immaterial spirit of light living in and experiencing an information environment that is also made of light..

When you wake up in the morning, your consciousness comes on.

When you have an out of body experience - a near death experience, a mystical experience, an astral travel experience - your consciousness leaves your body and has the experience then comes back into your body.

The conscious thing is you. "You" are having these experiences. Your body is not having the experiences. You are a conscious "spirit" who can exist in your body or out of your body.

Consciousness is an electromagnetic phenomenon. Electromagnetism is light. Our human consciousness is made of long wave low frequency light in the radio bandwidth that radio receiver instruments like electroencephalographs read as "brainwaves."

The evidence from human experience and neuropsychology - the science of the body-brain-consciousness relationship - is that our conscious electromagnetic spirit is generated by our brain in its "awake" state patterns of neuron firings. Electromagnetism is immaterial but nevertheless real and causally potent energy.

A thing that is made of conscious electromagnetism - made of conscious living light - is a "spirit." As conscious beings we are spiritual beings, spirits of light, immaterial electromagnetic beings made of real energetic stuff with our own causal powers that work by physics - the physics of spirit.

We are not "eternal souls" planted in these bodies from somewhere else. We begin our existence in these bodies in these lives on this Earth.

Your conscious spirit can exist in its material body in this Earthly life and can exist without its body in a purely spiritual afterlife realm of "heavenly" light because the conscious spirit who is "you" is literally made of light.
