In northern British Columbia, Canada, on a peninsula formed where two rivers meet, a warrior called Baby discovers something that might save what's left of their raging heart. Elsewhere, in the ruins of a collective homestead, Rebecca, a woman dedicated to her faith and her family, steals redemption from behind wooden walls. The consequences of both their actions will carry years into the future, shifting the trajectory of an entire people.

In another time, nearly-graduated police cadet, Love Janzen, can no longer ignore the mysterious changes to his body and desires after a violent event leaves his prospects in question. This struggle intensifies when he meets Moon, a queer, disabled self-defense instructor with her own fears and secrets to protect. But the contradictions that emerge from their mutual passion may threaten everthing they think they hold dear. In the end, these two strangers, whose lives have been entangled since birth, must together navigate a world of brutal inequality that is not what it seems, all while learning the weight of truth, the betrayal of power, and the costand necessityof fighting for hope and each other.
