EXCERPT
"I would never hurt you, Peter," I soothingly stated. "If I thought for a moment that I was capable of doing that, I would disappear in the middle of the night."

He turned towards me, taking my face in his hands, looking me right in the eye, making me feel like we were connected by invisible strings.

"I know you wouldn't hurt me on purpose. I really don't think you know what exactly you're capable of. You remind me of POWs that come back from the war and go off for no apparent reason. There is something so soft and alluring about you, but there is also something hard and dangerous about you as well."

I could feel it myself, and whatever this disease was, it was causing unpredictable actions, which I couldn't stop. Every time I've had these episodes, I had no idea what I was doing. I seemed to black out through the whole experience.

Peter continued. "We will get to the bottom of this, but are you sure you really want to know the answers? With everything that I've seen so far, I just don't know if we should open those doors."
